Technicolour is a choir that remixes Musical Theatre with fresh sound, epic harmonies, mash-ups and glitter.

It's a place where we support each other to create greatness, work hard and play hard, celebrate our individuality, give each other confidence and raise each other up.
Our gigs are immersive club nights - reimagining your favourite musicals! It's like stepping into the screen or onto the stage - you are part of the story!
Technicolour was created by Patrick Steed and our journey began in 2018. We launched in Cardiff, then expanded to Bristol and UWE (as part of the Centre of Music at the University)
In 2020, we took the journey online to form TechnicolourVIRTUAL and welcomed members from across the UK and beyond. Right now, we based only in Cardiff - however, we still have members from across the UK singing with us as part of TechnicolourFUSION.
Technicolour is open to adults of all genders and abilities. There are no auditions as we believe music should be accessible for all AND at the same time we have high standards, love a challenge and support each other to achieve greatness!

Do they match your personality?
Hi, I’m Patrick Steed. I’ve been leading choirs and creating epic vocal arrangements for the past 15 years. It's taken me around the world and given me the chance to meet amazing people and perform in fantastic venues.
As a musical theatre composer I've collaborated on three shows - Stalking John Barrowman (Cardiff 2013 & Austin, Texas 2015), Blink! (Cardiff 2016) and Seize the Cheese - with Mike Stocks - which has been showcased at BEAM 2021, and premiered at the New Wimbledon Theatre in November 2023.
As Composer in Residence for Hello Cabaret - my original songs were performed at the Wales Millennium Centre and Cardiff Open Air Festival by stars of the West End.
Technicolour is about bringing together everything I love - musicals, epic harmonies, chart music, wonderful people, great energy and loads of glitter!
At Technicolour, there is no audition and you don't need previous musical experience to join. The choir is open to all adults, over the age of 18.
We do ask that you check these values match you - as we live by them and breathe them! So if they don't fit with you, then you won't be a good fit for the choir.
